- 1 large green onion (thinly sliced (light and dark green parts onion))
- ¼ cup all purpose flour (see the notes below for gluten-free option)
- ¼ cup cornmeal
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons buttermilk (or substitute with your favorite milk)
- freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 small jalapeño (seeded and finely chopped)
- 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
- 1 tablespoon lime juice (about 1/2 lime)
