Ingredients
The following ingredients have 35 Servings
- 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons vanilla
- 2 eggs (, beaten)
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- oil for frying
- Powdered Sugar
- Chocolate Syrup
Instruction
- In a medium size mixing bowl sift together the flour and baking powder, set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the yogurt, vanilla, eggs, and sugar; whisk until well combined.
- Add the yogurt mixture to the flour mixture and mix until thoroughly combined.
- Heat the oil to 350F. (Use a thermometer, please!)
- Once the oil is hot, lower the heat to medium and keep the hot oil at 350F.
- Drop about a 1/2- tablespoon of the batter into the saucepan, 3 to 4 doughnuts at a time. (Doughnuts expand when fried)
- Fry for about 1 minute, or until golden; flip the doughnuts and continue to cook for one more minute, or until done.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Top with powdered sugar.
- Serve warm.
