Ingredients

The following ingredients have 6 Servings
  • 1½ cups diced cooked ham
  • 1 cup dried lentils
  • 1 cup onions (chopped)
  • 1 cup carrots (chopped)
  • 1 cup celery (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • ¼ tsp dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 32 oz chicken broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 tsp tomato sauce

Instruction

  • In a large slow cooker, add ham, lentils, onions, carrots, celery, and minced garlic.
  • Add dried oregano, dried basil, dried thyme, black pepper, and bay leaf.
  • Add chicken broth, water, and tomato sauce.
  • Stir to mix well.
  • Cover the slow cooker and set to LOW setting for 11 hours.
  • Remove and discard bay leaf.
