Ingredients

The following ingredients have 32 Servings
  • 2 white or wheat pita pockets
  • 1 egg whites
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • powdered seasoning of your choice (to taste)

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Using scissors, or a knife, cut the pitas around the edges, separating the pita into 2 round pieces each.
  • In a small mixing bowl, add egg whites, then whisk in the olive oil.
  • Using a basting brush, brush the egg mixture on the inside of each of the four pita rounds.
  • Season with your favorite seasoning such as cajun seasoning, garlic powder, salt, etc.
  • Using a pizza cutter or a knife, cut each of the 4 rounds into 8 triangles, like a pie.
  • Place the triangles on the baking sheet in a single layer, seasoning side up.
  • In preheated oven, bake approximately 15 minutes, or until they are no longer soft, and lightly browned.
  • Store in an air tight container.
