Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • ½ cup onions (chopped)
  • 1 lb ground beef - lean
  • 4½ cups cabbage ( coarsely chopped )
  • ½ cup brown rice (uncooked)
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1½ tsp beef bouillon
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ¾ cup water
  • ½ tsp dried dill
  • 6 ozs colby cheese or swiss cheese (shredded)

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 350° F
  • In a skillet add onion and ground beef.
  • Brown ground beef - cooking onion at the same time.
  • Prepare a 9x13 casserole dish by spraying with cooking spray.
  • Add cabbage to prepared casserole dish
  • Top cabbage with uncooked rice. Add ground beef and onion mixture on top of rice.
  • In a mixing bowl, add Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, sugar, beef bouillon, water, and dill. Mix well. Pour on top of contents of casserole dish.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 1½ hours.
  • Remove from oven. Sprinkle the cheese over the casserole. Allow cheese to melt, and serve.
