Ingredients

The following ingredients have 16 Servings
  • 4 cup(s) peeled seeded and diced roma or plum tomatoes
  • 1 cup(s) diced white onion
  • 2 teaspoon(s) minced garlic
  • 1/3 cup(s) olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon(s) balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoon(s) sugar
  • 1 pound(s) bluelump crabmeat, picked over for shells
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) cracked black pepper
  • 1/3 cup(s) minced fresh basil
  • 2 - baguettes, sliced and toasted

Instruction

  • Combine tomatoes, onions, garlic, oil, vinegar, oregano and sugar in 4 1/2 quart crock pot or slow cooker. Cover, cook on low for 2 hours
  • Add crabmeat salt and pepper. Stir gently to mix, taking care not to break up crabmeat lumps. Cook on LOW one more hour.
  • Fold in basil. Serve on toasted baguette slices.
