Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 4 large apples, peeled, cored and pared into 1-inch slices
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Juice of half a lemon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 stick butter, softened
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Peel, core and thickly slice enough apples to fit a 9-inch pie dish or a 11 x 2-inch glass dish.
- Add lemon juice, sprinkle with cinnamon, and toss to evenly coat. Whisk sugars, flour and cinnamon in a large bowl. Use your hands to get rid of any brown sugar lumps. Cut in the butter and mix until well incorporated.
- Add the topping to cover the apples and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the apples and topping is golden brown. Let the bake cool until warm. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
