Ingredients

The following ingredients have 8 Servings
  • 2 lbs. lean ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 Tbs. homemade taco seasoning (or store bought taco seasoning)
  • 2 cans (8 ounces each) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (4.5 ounces) chopped green chiles
  • your favorite taco toppings (, such as shredded cheese, guacamole, salsa, sour cream and jalapenos)
  • 8` snack size bags nacho chips or corn chips (, such as Doritos or Fritos)

Instruction

  • Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and cook ground beef, onion, garlic and taco seasoning until beef is browned, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in tomato sauce and green chiles and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Mixture can be transferred to a slow cooker set on warm or low so your guests can serve themselves at your party.
  • Assemble your favorite taco toppings in individual bowls and arrange around your slow cooker with bags of chips.
  • To assemble your Walking Taco: Select your bag of chips and gently crush chips. Open bag, top with taco beef mixture and your favorite toppings!
