Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • OOMugi Barley
  • Carrots
  • Beans
  • Cabbage
  • Any other vegetables as per your preference
  • Butter
  • Ginger garlic paste
  • Salt
  • Red chilli powder
  • Turmeric powder
  • Black pepper

Instruction

  • Soak the Barley for about an hour and drain the water
  • Take a Pan with some oil. After the oil is heated, add the vegetables starting with carrots as they might take more time to soften
  • Add ginger garlic paste to the veggies and saute them well.
  • Add salt as per seasoning required. Add a pinch of turmeric and mix well
  • Add red chilli powder and mix the ingredients well. Let the vegetables cook for 4 to 5 minutes in low flame.
  • Add the soaked barley and mix well.
  • Add around 3 cups of water or as per the number of servings needed corresponding to the vegetable portions used.
  • Cover the pan and let it cook for about 10 mins or until the barley is done.
  • Once the barley is cooked, add black pepper and let the soup simmer for a few minutes. Serve hot !
