  • Cornmeal, (as needed)
  • 1 cup raw cashews, (soaked in water 4-8 hours, rinsed and drained)
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/4 cup unfavored non-dairy milk
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, (or to taste)
  • 3 1/2 ounces firm or extra firm tofu (one fourth of a 14 ounce package), (drained)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, (or to taste)
  • Pasta sauce of choice
