Ingredients

The following ingredients have 10 Servings
  • 1/2 cup (115g) dairy-free butter
  • 1 cup (85g) oats
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp orange juice
  • ½ tsp orange zest
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup (100g) plain (all purpose) flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 125 g powdered icing sugar ((confectioner's))
  • 2 tbsp orange juice
  • 2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 180C/350F. Lightly grease a loaf pan.
  • In a large saucepan over a low heat, melt the butter/spread.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the oats, sugar, cocoa, orange juice, zest and salt, mixing until completely combined.
  • Stir in the baking powder and the flour, a little bit at a time.
  • Pour into the prepared pan and gently press down. Bake for 20 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and leave in the tin to cool.
