Ingredients

The following ingredients have 8 Servings
  • Foolproof Vegan Pie Crust
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup cornstarch ((or arrowroot powder))
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cup vanilla flavored plant-based milk
  • 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate squares
  • 1 cup silken tofu ((or one small package))
  • ¾ cup aquafaba ((from a can of salted chickpeas — see notes))
  • ½ teaspoon cream of tartar
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instruction

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F/175°C.
  • Prepare the pie crust as directed in the link above and roll it out to about 1/8" thickness and place in a 9" pie pan. Crimp the edges of the pie and use a fork to prick the bottom of the crust several times. Bake the crust for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven and set aside to cool.
