Ingredients
The following ingredients have 8 Servings
- Foolproof Vegan Pie Crust
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- ¼ cup cornstarch ((or arrowroot powder))
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cup vanilla flavored plant-based milk
- 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate squares
- 1 cup silken tofu ((or one small package))
- ¾ cup aquafaba ((from a can of salted chickpeas — see notes))
- ½ teaspoon cream of tartar
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instruction
- Preheat your oven to 350°F/175°C.
- Prepare the pie crust as directed in the link above and roll it out to about 1/8" thickness and place in a 9" pie pan. Crimp the edges of the pie and use a fork to prick the bottom of the crust several times. Bake the crust for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven and set aside to cool.
