Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 4 veal steaks
- 1 onion finely chopped small
- 125 g mushrooms sliced
- 30g butter
- 1/4 cup dry sherry
- 2 tsp plain flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tsp Massel Beef Stock Powder
- 1 pinch salt and pepper *to taste
- 2 tbs cream
Instruction
- Pound steaks out thinly.
- Melt butter in a shallow pan, add veal steaks and cook quickly for 3-4 minutes, turning once. Remove from pan.
- Add onion, cook for 2 minutes, then pour in sherry and bring to the boil.
- Stir in flour, mix well. Remove from heat and stir in water and beef stock.
- Return to heat, stir until sauce comes to the boil.
- Return steaks to pan, add mushrooms and mix well.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cover pan, simmer very gently for 8 minutes then stir through cream. Stir until heated through but do not boil.
