Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 boneless turkey breast
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 Tbsp chopped rosemary
- 1 Tbsp chopped basil
- 4 slices of bacon, cut into 8 halves
- 2 cups dry white wine
- 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
- Salt and pepper
- 1 1/2 cup apricot preserves
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup turkey juices (if you don’t have enough, add chicken broth to make a cup)
Instruction
- Pre heat your oven to 350 degrees.
- In a bowl, combine the herbs and the butter and mix well until incorporated. Season with salt and pepper.
- Rub the herbed butter all over the turkey and then lay the bacon slices on the turkey.
- Put your turkey in a roasting pan along with the white wine and the vinegar. Baste once before putting in the oven.
- Bring the turkey to the oven, covered in foil, for 1 hour. Baste the turkey every 15 minutes.
- Take the foil and the bacon off and roast for 1 more hour or until the turkey has browned and is a nice golden color.
- In a saucepan, combine all the sauce ingredients, whisking everything together until you have a smooth liquid. Bring it to a boil and let it cook until it reduces/thickens slightly.
- Serve the sauce accompanying the turkey.
