  • ½ cup (65 g) ground almonds
  • ½ cup (50 g) quick-cooking oats
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 tbsp (45 ml) almond butter
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) canola oil
  • ½ cup (105 g) brown sugar
  • ½ tsp (2.5 ml) vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • ¾ cup (115 g) homemade or store-bought trail mix, coarsely chopped (see note)
  • 1/4 cup (40 g) dark, milk or white chocolate, coarsely chopped
