The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 cup plain yogurt (dahi, curd) (see notes)
- 3 tablespoons chickpea flour (besan, gram flour)
- 1/2 teaspoon finely chopped ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon finely chopped green chilies
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 3 cups water
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves (laung)
- 1 inch piece of cinnamon stick (dalchini)
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds (sarson)
- 1/4 teaspoon fenugreek seeds (methi dana)
- 15-20 curry leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon asafetida (hing)
- 2-3 dry red chilies
