Ingredients

The following ingredients have 6 Servings
  • 1 package Trader Joe's Kung Pao Cauliflower ((24 ounces; 680 grams))
  • sesame seeds, chopped chives or scallions ((optional; for garnish))

Instruction

  • Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  • Fill a small bowl with very warm water. Put the Kung Pao sauce packet in the bowl of warm water to defrost it. 
  • After the air fryer is preheated, carefully spread the frozen cauliflower tempura out on two hot air fryer trays. Space the cauliflower tempura pieces out for good air circulation and even cooking. Place the trays back into the air fryer.
  • Air fry the frozen cauliflower pieces for 6 minutes at 400°F (200°C). Then flip the cauliflower, switch the position of the trays in the air fryer, and air fry 6 minutes more.
  • Check the cauliflower. If the cauliflower on the bottom rack hasn’t crisped to your liking, no worries. Simply move it to the top rack and air fry 2 more minutes. 
  • After the cauliflower tempura is cooked, put it in a medium-sized bowl. Open the thawed sauce packet and pour it over the top. Gently stir the cauliflower to coat it with the sauce, garnish (if desired), and you’re ready to serve!
