Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 pound(s) pkg. firm tofu, cubed
- 1/2 medium sweet onion, minced
- 1 medium carrot, minced
- 2 tablespoon(s) all purpose flour or gluten free baking mix
- 1/2 cup(s) panko bread crumbs or spelt bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon(s) each dried basil and dried thyme of use 2 teas. mixed herbs
- 1 dash(es) ground nutmeg
- - salt and pepper to taste
- BBQ SAUCE:
- 2 tablespoon(s) vegan worcester sauce
- 2 tablespoon(s) ketchup
- 2 tablespoon(s) agave syrup or maple syrup
- 2 teaspoon(s) sriracha sauce, optional spicy
Instruction
- Burgers: Microwave the tofu for 2 minutes. Press water out- as much as you can- the more the better. Heat onion and carrot in hot oil vegetable in skillet, until tender and carrots is soft.
- Place well pressed tofu, veggies and remaining ingredients into a bowl and mix well to combine, like making regular meat burgers.
- Divide mixture into 4 portions and shape into burgers. Fry on both sides over medium heat in a covered pan until burgers are brown , turning once.
- BBQ Sauce: Combine all ingredients and spread on burgers. Add any condiments you desire; such as cabbage salad, pickles, onion, lettuce, tomato, etc....
