Ingredients

The following ingredients have 12 Servings
  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips (I used mini chocolate chips)
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/3 cup Heath toffee bits

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Line a 9x13 baking dish with parchment paper.
  • Cream butter and sugars together in a large mixing bowl.
  • Beat in egg, vanilla, and salt.
  • Gradually mix in flour.
  • Press dough into baking dish and bake for 22-25 minutes or until set.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of cookie and return to the oven for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Use an offset spatula to spread chocolate chips in an even layer.
  • Immediately sprinkle on almonds and toffee bits.
  • Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
