Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2 cups self-rising cornmeal mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/4-1/3 cup honey
  • 2 Tablespoons butter

Instruction

  • Mix all ingredients except butter in a bowl until well blended.
  • Pour into a greased 8.5"X4.5" loaf pan and bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Cool on rack 5 minutes before removing from pan.
  • Melt butter in skillet over medium heat.
  • Slice cornbread into approximately 3/4" slices and brown on each side in buttered skillet.
