Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 lb ground chicken (dark and white meat)
- ¾ cup coarsely grated zucchini, excess liquid squeezed out
- 2 Tbsp grated onion, drained
- 1 Tbsp chopped fresh basil
- 1 Tbsp thinly sliced green onion
- 2 Tbsp ketchup
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 large clove garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp canola oil, plus extra for coating hands
- 4 whole wheat or multigrain hamburger buns
- Garnishes: sliced tomato, sliced avocado, sliced red onion, lettuce, mustard, mayonnaise, etc.
Instruction
- In a large bowl, combine first 10 ingredients, mixing well. Lightly coat hands with oil; form chicken mixture into 4 patties (they will be quite moist). Place on a sheet pan; refrigerate 15 minutes. In a nonstick griddle or large nonstick pan over medium-high, heat 1 Tbsp oil. Add patties; cook 4-5 minutes per side or until done. Serve on buns garnished as desired.
