Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic ((or to taste))
  • 1 pound green beans ((washed and trimmed))
  • 3/4 cup water
  • salt and pepper ((to taste))

Instruction

  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Once melted add in sliced almonds. Reduce heat to low and lower to cook until almonds are toasted. This could take 3-4 minutes.
  • Place minced garlic in pan and allow to cook for 30-60 seconds. Remove almonds from skillet and set aside.
  • Place green beans in a pot with 3/4 cup water and salt to taste. Cover and cook until green beans are tender. This could take 8-9 minutes. Then remove the lid and allow to cook 1-2 minutes or until all water is evaporated.
  • Once green beans are cooked remove from heat. Season with salt and pepper to taste then top with garlic toasted almonds. Mix everything together and serve.
