Ingredients
The following ingredients have 7 Servings
- 1 - 4 to 5 pound chuck roast (a tri-tip roast is also really good)
- 2 cans low-sodium cream of mushroom soup
- 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
- potatoes (baby carrots, & onion (if you don't like one of those, simply don't add it. No biggie! I don't have specific)
- amounts for the veggies... I just add as many as I think I need to feed my family.)
- pepper (to taste)
Instruction
- If you wish to sear the roast before placing it in the slow cooker, season with pepper and cook in a hot skillet a couple minutes on each side, then place in the crockpot. I actually like to sear mine with a little bit of butter in the pan, but that's a personal preference. If you don't wish to sear the meat (you don't have to!), just place it straight into the crockpot. Arrange the potatoes, carrots, & onions (if using) in the crockpot too. Cut the potatoes into chunks unless you're using very small potatoes.
- Mix the canned soup with the onion soup mix. Pour over the meat & veggies.
- Cover your slow cooker & cook on low for 8-10 hours.
