Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 3/4 cup granualted sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup butter (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 2.25 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (We prefer Ghiradelli)

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 375° F.  Using a large mixing bowl, combine sugars, butter, vanilla and egg. Fold in flour, baking soda and salt. If using a stand mixer, mix on low setting.
  • Using ungreased cookie sheet, drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft). Allow to cool slightly and place on wire rack.
