Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2 Tbsps vegetable oil
  • 1 onion (thinly sliced)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3 to 4 red chili peppers (or sub jalapeno or serrano peppers) (sliced)
  • 1 red bell pepper (thinly sliced)
  • 1 pound steak (I used sirloin) (thinly sliced)
  • 1/3 cup oyster sauce
  • 1 1/2 Tbsps soy sauce (or mushroom soy sauce)
  • 20 to 30 Thai basil leaves
  • Optional: rice, fried eggs

Instruction

  • Set a wok over medium low heat and add the oil. Once the oil is hot add the onion, minced garlic, and sliced red chili peppers. Cook 2 to 3 minutes, stirring a few times.
  • Raise the heat to medium high and add the red bell pepper, sliced steak, oyster sauce, and soy sauce. Cook 5 to 6 minutes.
  • Add the Thai basil leaves and cook 1 more minute. Serve over rice with a fried egg if desired.
