The following ingredients have 8 Servings
- 1 pound(s) ground beef
- 1/2 pound(s) sweet italian sausage
- 1 can(s) 15 oz chili beans, drained
- 1 can(s) 15 oz chili beans in spicy sauce (undrained)
- 1 can(s) 16 oz diced tomatoes with juice
- 1 can(s) 3 oz can tomatoe paste
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 1 - stalk celery chopped
- 1 medium green pepper seeded and chopped
- 1 can(s) (small size) chopped green chile peppers
- 2 teaspoon(s) bacon bits
- 2 - cubes beef bouillon
- 1/4 cup(s) beer
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) chili powder
- 2 teaspoon(s) worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoon(s) minced garlic
- 2 teaspoon(s) dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon(s) ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon(s) hot pepper sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) paprika
- 1 teaspoon(s) white sugar
- 1 cup(s) tomato juice
Instruction
- Heat a large stock pot over medium heat . crumble the hamburger and sausage into the hot pan and cook until evenly browned, drain of excess grease
- add rest of ingredients and stir until well blended
- cover and simmer over low heat stirring occasionally for 2 hours. The longer it simmers the better
- remove from heat and serve in bowls with shredded cheddar cheese on top or refrigerate and serve the next day
- after cooking. may be put in a crock pot and left on low heat
- You can use 1/8 cup of apple juice instead of the beer if you wish, and you can add more Tabasco if you like it really hot
