Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground red pepper
- 1 cup tequila
- 6 oz honey
- 3 Tbsps fresh squeezed orange juice
- 3 Tbsps fresh squeezed lime juice
- zest of half of a lime
- 2 Tbsps hot sauce
- 4 chicken breasts
- olive oil
Instruction
- In a small bowl combine chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, salt, cumin, pepper, cinnamon, and ground red pepper. Stir until evenly combined and set aside.
- In a saucepan combine tequila, honey, orange juice, lime juice, lime zest, hot sauce, and 2 tsps of the taco seasoning. Whisk together, bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer for 10 to 12 minutes. The mixture will thicken more as it cools.
- Brush the chicken with olive oil and season both sides with the remaining taco seasoning.
- Grill the chicken 3-4 minutes per side. Brush both sides with the tequila glaze and grill for another 2 minutes per side.
- Serve with extra tequila glaze for dipping.
