Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground red pepper
  • 1 cup tequila
  • 6 oz honey
  • 3 Tbsps fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 3 Tbsps fresh squeezed lime juice
  • zest of half of a lime
  • 2 Tbsps hot sauce
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • olive oil

Instruction

  • In a small bowl combine chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, salt, cumin, pepper, cinnamon, and ground red pepper. Stir until evenly combined and set aside.
  • In a saucepan combine tequila, honey, orange juice, lime juice, lime zest, hot sauce, and 2 tsps of the taco seasoning. Whisk together, bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer for 10 to 12 minutes. The mixture will thicken more as it cools.
  • Brush the chicken with olive oil and season both sides with the remaining taco seasoning.
  • Grill the chicken 3-4 minutes per side. Brush both sides with the tequila glaze and grill for another 2 minutes per side.
  • Serve with extra tequila glaze for dipping.
