- 1 cup hoisin sauce
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons ginger
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (gluten-free or coco aminos if needed)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Sesame seeds and green onions (to serve)
Instruction
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine the ingredients for the meatballs in a large bowl and mix them together well. Roll 36 meatballs and place them on the baking sheet.
- Bake them in the oven for 15 minutes, or until they have browned and are cooked through.
- While the meatballs are baking, prepare the sauce. Combine the sauce ingredients in a medium-sized pot and bring it to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat and simmer the sauce for 2-3 minutes. Remove the pot from the heat.
- When the meatballs are cooked, remove them from the oven and then put them in the pot with the sauce. Gently stir them around until they are coated well.
- Serve the meatballs topped with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and some sliced green onions.
