Ingredients
The following ingredients have 6 Servings
- Wheat flour - 2 cups
- Egg - 1 (optional)
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - for frying
- For making Sugar Syrup
- Sugar - 3/4 cup
- Water - 1/4 cup
Instruction
- Add salt, egg, cardamom powder, oil to the wheat flour.
- Add boiling water and knead the dough like as for chapati. Keep it covered for 30 min to 1 hour.
- Pinch out large sized balls and start rolling it like chapathi (not so thin nor so thick).
- In a dosa pan, put this and slightly heat on both sides.
- Take this out and keep in a wooden board. Cut into diamond shaped pieces.
- Deep fry these diamond shaped pieces and take it out.
- Now prepare sugar syrup. In a pan, add water and sugar and heat thoroughly till it reaches one string consistency. Switch off the flame.
- Put the fried diamond pieces into this sugar syrup and mix till it forms a coat over the diamond cuts.
