Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 lbs fresh asparagus (washed, patted dry and cut into 2 inch pieces)
Instruction
- Prep: Start by washing and patting dry, then chop the asparagus into 1-2" pieces.
- Cook: Next, in a skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter and then add in the brown sugar. Then add in the asparagus pieces and sauté for 2-3 minutes. After that, stir in the chicken broth and bring it to a boil. As soon it is boils, reduce the heat to medium-low, cover the skillet and simmer for 8-10 minutes or until asparagus is tender.
- Once cooking is complete, remove the asparagus from the skillet and continue cooking the sauce for another 3-4 minutes over medium-high heat. Proceed to pour the sugar butter sauce over the asparagus and serve immediately. Enjoy!
