Ingredients
The following ingredients have 12 Servings
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter ( , softened)
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups flour
- 1 ounce green sugar sprinkles
Instruction
- In a large mixing bowl or bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, cream together butter and sugar until fluffy and pale.
- Add egg and vanilla extract. Mixing well to combine.
- Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.
- Slowly add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Cover and chill for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Place green sugar sprinkles in a bowl. Roll cookie dough into approximately 48 3/4 inch size balls. Roll 36 of those in green sugar sprinkles.
- On cookie sheet, press together 3 green sugar colored balls for the leaves and the mold one plain sugar cookie ball into a stem. Continue with remaining cookie dough balls. You will have approximately 12 cookies.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes. Do not wait for cookie to start to brown, remove right before.
- Allow to cool fully before serving.
