Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water (for the simple syrup)
  • 2 cups strawberries, hulled
  • 1 cup freshly-squeezed lime juice
  • 2 cups cold water
  • ice

Instruction

  • In a sauce pot, combine sugar and 1 cup water. Over medium heat, bring to a simmer, stirring regularly, until sugar is dissolved and syrup is clear and no longer cloudy. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
  • In a blender, process strawberries until pureed. Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds.
  • In a pitcher, combine simple syrup, lime juice, pureed strawberries and 2 cups cold water. Stir well. To serve, pour into glasses over ice. 
  • Garnish with sliced limes and strawberries, if desired.
