Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 lb fresh strawberries
- 3 tablespoons orange juice
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar, divided
- 3/4 cup butter, divided
- 1 cup brown sugar
Instruction
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly spray a 2-quart baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Wash, hull, and slice the strawberries.
- Combine strawberries, orange juice, and 1/2 cup of the white sugar in a medium pot and cook over medium heat until sugar is completely dissolved. Pour into the prepared baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine the flour and the remaining 1/2 cup of white sugar. Use a pastry blender or two forks to cut 1/2 cup of the butter into it. It will be dry and crumbly. Sprinkle it on top of the strawberries.
- Soften the remaining 1/4 cup of butter and mix with 1 cup brown sugar. Drop into dollops on top of the flour mixture.
- Bake for 55 minutes to an hour, or until golden, bubbly, and the cobbler is cooked through. Serve with vanilla ice cream or a generous pour of heavy cream.
