Ingredients

The following ingredients have 1 Servings
  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, washed and sliced
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp chia seeds

Instruction

  • Heat a medium saucepan over medium heat and add your strawberries.
  • Once the berries have softened, use a potato masher to break up the strawberry pieces. (Mash as much or as little as you would like, the more you mash the less chunks you’ll have)
  • Let the mixture come to a slow boil, stirring almost continually.
  • Once you see some bubbles break the surface, add the honey and mix.
  • Once bubbles break the surface once again, add the chia seeds and lower temperature to low heat. (The chia seeds will help the mix achieve a thicker jam-like texture without the need to add pectin)
  • Continue stirring the mixture over low heat for about 15 minutes, and then remove the pot from the stove.
  • Pour the mixture into a mason jar and cover it tightly with a lid.
