Ingredients
The following ingredients have 16 Servings
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 Tablespoon pure vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs (lightly beaten, (at room temperature))
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon espresso powder
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 8 ounces semi-sweet baking chocolate squares ((coarsely chopped))
- Your favorite caramel sauce recipe or jarred sauce.
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- sea salt
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Line a 9 x 9-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large pan, heat butter over low-medium heat. Melt butter and add sugar. Stir to combine.
- Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
- In a medium bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Carefully pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Stir to combine, but don't over mix.
- Add the baking chocolate and stir until all the pieces are melted and mixed into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the baking dish and bake for 30-40 minutes. A toothpick inserted in the center will still be a slight bit sticky when removed.
- Remove the brownies from the oven and allow to cool completely before topping with caramel sauce.
