  • 1 small Onion, diced
  • 8 oz fresh Mushrooms, sliced (optional)
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 cups low sodium Beef Broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon beef bouillon concentrate, or 1 beef bouillon cube, crushed
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • Kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • Reserved cooking liquid
  • 1 tablespoon Browning sauce (optional)

  • Mashed Potatoes or Egg Noodles
