Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 3.333 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2.333 cups Beef (e. g. fillet or loin; finely chopped)
  • 1 garlic clove (finely chopped)
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 scallion (finely chopped)
  • 0.75 inch fresh ginger (grated)
  • 0.5 tsp Garam Masala
  • flour (to work with)

Instruction

  • To make the dough, knead together the flour, salt, oil and 175 ml lukewarm water. Cover and allow to rest for 1 hour.
  • Mix the meat with the garlic, onion and spring onion and season with salt and garam masala. Add the ginger.
  • Make 12-16 small balls out of the dough and roll out on a floured board into thin circles.
  • Place approx. 1 tbsp of the filling in the middle of each one. Fold the edges inside and press together
  • Place the momos in a greased colander and steam for approx. 15 minutes over a pot of boiling water. Serve with chilli sauce.
