Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1-1½ pounds (453-680g) top sirloin steak, (cut in 1-inch pieces)
  • Salt to taste
  • 2-3 teaspoons (8-12g) Creole seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon (14ml) olive oil
  • 2-3 tablespoons (28-42ml) butter
  • 2 teaspoons (10g) garlic, (minced)
  • ½ tablespoon (7.5ml) Worcestershire sauce ((replace with extra soy sauce))
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) soy sauce ((adjust to taste with more or less))
  • ½ cup (57.5g) onions, (sliced (optional))

Instruction

  • Lightly salt steak. Season with Creole seasoning and pepper to taste. Set aside.
  • Heat oil in a large cast-iron frying pan (mine is a 12-inch) or skillet over high heat.
  • Place the steak tips in the pan in a single layer, and saute for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, then turn and cook for 1-2 minutes on the other side.
  • Depending on your pan's size, you may need to work in batches. Overcrowding the pan will prevent the tips from browning nicely. Repeat with remaining steak tips if needed.
  • Make space in the pan, then add the butter and garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds. Add Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and onions, and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring to coat the meat in the sauce.
  • Sprinkle with parsley and serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed veggies. Enjoy!
