Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 12 3x3 inch French rolls (sliced)
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh garlic (to rub on bread)
  • 16 oz leftover steak or trip tip (cooked and sliced)
  • 12 thick mozzarella slices
  • 12 thick slices of tomato
  • 12 large basil leaves
  • 1 3.5 oz pkg rice crackers
  • Hummus
  • Cherries
  • Balsamic glaze

Instruction

  • Slice the rolls in half and drizzle with olive oil; rub garlic cloves on each side. Add sea salt.
  • Broil for 1-2 minutes. Place on one side of a large board or tray.
  • Heat up the sliced steak pieces and place in a bowl.
  • On a large plate, arrange the tomato and cheese slices and fresh basil. Place the steak in the middle of a board (in a bowl).
  • Around the outside, place the crackers, hummus, and cherries. Serve with a bottle of balsamic glaze for drizzling on the sandwich (optional).
