Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 2 slices of Italian bread
- 1 4- oz eye round steak
- 2 oz sliced sharp white cheddar (My favorite is Cabot)
- 1/4 cup sliced yellow onion
- Salt
- Fresh cracked pepper
Instruction
- Preheat the cooking pan on medium heat with a little bit of oil.
- Season the steak with salt and pepper and saute until it reaches desired temperature. Set aside to cool until it can be handled.
- Meanwhile, saute onions in the same pan with a little bit of salt, on medium-high heat, until golden brown. Set aside.
- Slice the steak thinly.
- Layer bread, half the cheese, steak, onions, remaining cheese and second slice of bread in the cooking pan.
- Cook on medium until the cheese is melted and bread is nicely toasted.
