Ingredients

The following ingredients have 5 Servings
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 1/2 cups boiled sweet corn
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh chopped spinach
  • 1/3 cup All-purpose flour (maida)
  • 1/2 cup cold milk
  • 1/2 tsp pepper powder
  • 3-4 cubes of grated processed cheese
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • Salt as per taste
  • 10-12 slices of white bread
  • 2-3 tbsp Butter

Instruction

  • Firstly, heat cooking oil in a pan, and once its hot add ginger garlic paste.
  • Now add boiled sweet corn kernels and saute for 2 minutes till little brown.
  • Add chopped spinach and mix it well and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Now add all-purpose flour in the pan as shown in the picture, mix well and cook it for a minute. Stir it continuously so that it doesn't stick to the pan.
  • Time to add cold milk in the corn and spinach mixture and keep stirring well for 2 minutes.
  • Once the milk has mixed well with the flour, let it boil for a minute in the pan.
  • Now add oregano, chili flakes, pepper powder, and salt and mix it well.
  • Finally, add grated cheese, mix it well, and switch off the flame. Allow some time to cool down.
  • How to proceed:
  • Arrange bread slices, and apply butter on it, and spread 2 tbsp of spinach and corn stuffing. Grate some cheese and cover another slice of bread and press it gently.
  • Heat a Tawa | Griddle and apply butter on it and roast the sandwich on both sides till brown and crispy.
  • Serve this Spinach and Corn Sandwich with coriander or mint chutney and tomato ketchup.
