Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 medium onion (chopped)
- 5 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 lbs ground turkey
- 4 cups tomato sauce
- 1 cup broth
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 1/2 tsp chipotle hot sauce (or hot sauce of choice)
- 1 can black beans (drained and rinsed(I used a BPA free variety))
- 6 cocktail tomatoes (diced)
- 1 red pepper (chopped)
- 1 orange pepper (chopped)
- 2 yellow hot peppers (chopped)
- 1 1/2 tsp sea salt & a few twists of fresh pepper
- 1 tsp coconut sugar
- 3 tbsp chili powder
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
Instruction
- Over medium low heat, warm the olive oil in a large pot. Add onion and sauté for 4-5 minutes, until softened. Sit in garlic until fragrant, about another minute
- Add ground turkey and cook until crumbled and cooked through
- Stir in the remaining ingredients and simmer on medium low heat, stirring every so often, for at least an hour.
