Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 5 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 lbs ground turkey
  • 4 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 cup broth
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp chipotle hot sauce (or hot sauce of choice)
  • 1 can black beans (drained and rinsed(I used a BPA free variety))
  • 6 cocktail tomatoes (diced)
  • 1 red pepper (chopped)
  • 1 orange pepper (chopped)
  • 2 yellow hot peppers (chopped)
  • 1 1/2 tsp sea salt & a few twists of fresh pepper
  • 1 tsp coconut sugar
  • 3 tbsp chili powder
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

Instruction

  • Over medium low heat, warm the olive oil in a large pot. Add onion and sauté for 4-5 minutes, until softened. Sit in garlic until fragrant, about another minute
  • Add ground turkey and cook until crumbled and cooked through
  • Stir in the remaining ingredients and simmer on medium low heat, stirring every so often, for at least an hour.
