Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1.125 cups Basmati rice
  • 2 Tbsps Ghee
  • 4 cups raw Prawn (in their shells)
  • 2 garlic cloves (sliced)
  • 1 red chili pepper (seeds removed, finely sliced)
  • 8 Saffron
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 3 Tbsps lemon juice
  • 1 cup Coconut milk
  • 1 red Bell pepper (sliced)
  • 4 sprigs parsley (leaves removed)
  • 4 lemons (to garnish)

Instruction

  • Bring a pan of salt water to the boil and cook the rice for 15 minutes.
  • Heat the ghee in a skillet and fry the shrimps on a high heat for 2 minutes. Add the garlic, chilli, saffron threads, turmeric and garam masala. Add the lemon juice and coconut milk.
  • Add the bell pepper and simmer for 5 minutes with a lid on. Season with salt, ground black pepper and lemon juice.
  • Serve the shrimps with the rice and parsley and garnish with lemon slices.
