Ingredients

The following ingredients have 6 Servings
  • 1 1/2 cups blanco or reposado tequila
  • 1 jalapeño, sliced
  • 10-12 blackberries
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 1/2 oz. jalapeño tequila
  • 1/2 oz cointreau
  • 1/2 oz lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon blackberry simple syrup
  • 5 blackberries
  • 2 oz. club soda

Instruction

  • Add tequila and sliced jalapeños to a mason jar. Cover and let sit for at least 24 hours. (the longer you let it infuse the more “spice” it will have.)
  • Add blackberries, sugar and water to a small saucepan. Muddle the blackberries with a muddler or wooden spoon. Heat to medium heat and cook until sugar is dissolved.
  • Strain out seeds then transfer simple syrup to a small container. Chill in the refrigerator.
  • Add 5 blackberries, tequila, cointreau and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker. Muddle the blackberries using a muddler or wooden spoon. Add lime juice and 2-3 ice cubes.
  • Cover the cocktail shaker securely and shake until the shaker is frosted on the outside.
  • Strain into a cocktail glass filled with ice and top with club soda.
  • Garnish with fresh blackberries, mint sprig and jalapeño slice.
