  • 2 tablespoons fresh oregano (finely chopped (or 2 teaspoons dried))
  • 1/4 cup chiffonade of fresh basil (or 2 to 3 teaspoons dried)
  • 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 or 2 Parmigiano-Reggiano rinds (optional)
  • 1 lb thin spaghetti
  • Parmigiano-Reggiano for grating
