- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder ((can increase to 2 tablespoons for stronger flavor))
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup buttermilk, at room temperature
- ½ cup (1 stick) salted butter, softened at room temperature
- 16 ounces cream cheese, softened at room temperature
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 lbs. confectioners’ sugar, sifted
