Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 pound smoked sausage
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 medium onion (chopped or about 1 cup)
- 1 green pepper (chopped or about 1/2 cup)
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- few drops hot sauce (Optional)
- 1 14.5 ounce can chicken broth
- 1 14.5 ounce diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 4 ounce can green chilis, drained
- 2 1/2 cups uncooked rotini pasta (could use shells, macaroni, penne)
- 1 cup shredded cheese of your choice (could use more cheese. I used Mozzarella cheese)
Instruction
- Melt butter in skillet and brown sausage, onion and green pepper.
- Add garlic, salt, pepper, chicken broth, tomatoes, green chilis and pasta.
- Bring to a boil and let cook on low, uncovered, until pasta is tender about 20 minutes.
- Sprinkle on cheese while still hot.
