Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 large onion
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 6 cm ginger
  • 2 Tbsp tamarind pulp
  • 125 ml hand hot water
  • ½ tsp fennel seeds
  • ¼ tsp cumin seeds
  • ¼ tsp fenugreek seeds
  • ¼ tsp brown or black mustard seeds
  • ¼ tsp nigella seeds
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp panch phoron
  • 2 sprigs curry leaves (leave out, if unavailable)
  • 4 Tbsp fish curry powder or any generic shop bought
  • 400 ml coconut milk ((1 can) use light, if you like)
  • 12 okra, left whole (or 1 large eggplant, sliced)
  • 2 tomatoes (quartered)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 salmon fillets (cut into 2-3 chunks)
  • 100 g smoked salmon, cut into tiny slices
  • 1 tsp clear vinegar
