The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ cup water
- ⅓ cup chopped, cored, and seeded red apple
- ¼ cup pecans (, chopped)
- Canola oil for frying
- 1 teaspoon powdered sugar
Instruction
- Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, brown sugar, and nutmeg in a medium bowl. Stir in water, gently fold in apples and pecans, and set aside.
- In a deep, 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, add enough canola oil to come halfway up the sides. Heat to 350°F.
- Using a large metal spoon, carefully drop dough into oil and fry 4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove fritters from pan and drain on a large paper towel-lined plate.
- Dust with powdered sugar and enjoy while warm.
