Ingredients
The following ingredients have 6 Servings
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 sweet onion (diced)
- 1 jalapeno (seeded and minced)
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 sweet potatoes (cubed)
- 14 1/2 ounces black beans (can)
- 14 1/2 ounces fire-roasted crushed tomatoes (can)
- 2 cups chicken broth (low-sodium)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (unsweetened)
Instruction
- Add all ingredients to the slow cooker, breaking up the ground turkey into bits with a wooden spoon. Mix to combine. Cook on low 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours.
- If desired, serve with a dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt, and whole-grain tortillas crumbled on top.
